Qin Dynasty
From 221 to 207 BCE, the Qin Dynasty, which developed from the Qin state during the Warring States period, became the first unified empire in Chinese history. The ancestor of the Qin people, Dafei, was a descendant of Zhuanxu, the grandson of the Yellow Emperor, and was granted the surname Ying by Emperor Shun.
