Western Jin Dynasty
From 266 AD to 316 AD, this was one of the unified dynasties in Chinese history following the Three Kingdoms period, and together with the Eastern Jin, it is collectively known as the Jin Dynasty. It was ruled by four emperors and lasted for fifty-one years. If counted from the conquest of Eastern Wu, the dynasty existed for only thirty-seven years. To distinguish it from the Eastern Jin, historians refer to it as the Western Jin, and both Jin dynasties are also called the Sima Jin.
