Fish Ball Clay Pot Casserole

Ingredients

225 g (about 1/2 lb) minced dace fish, 180 g (about 6 oz) lettuce, 100 g (about 1/2 cup) chicken broth, 50 g (about 1/2 cup) bean thread noodles, 20 g (about 1/2 cup) soaked and softened black moss (fat choy), 1 Chinese sausage, 10 g (about 2 tablespoons) chopped cilantro.

Seasonings

20 g soy sauce, 20 g oil, 15 g cornstarch, 15 g sesame oil, 10 g scallions, 10 g shrimp, 5 g salt, 5 g white pepper.

Instructions

1. Mix the diced shrimp, diced Chinese sausage, chopped black moss, cilantro, scallions, and fish meat together until well combined.

2. Heat the chicken broth in a pot, shape the fish mixture into balls and drop them into the broth, then cook until done and remove them.

3. Add the vermicelli noodles and lettuce to the pot, then add soy sauce and other seasonings and cook briefly before arranging the fish balls on top.

4. In a separate pot, prepare a cornstarch slurry to thicken, then pour it over the fish balls and serve.
