Ingredients

500 g (about 1 lb) tofu, lean pork, shrimp meat, egg whites, water chestnuts, tomatoes, shiitake mushrooms, and eggplant, each to taste.

Seasonings

Scallion whites and sesame oil, each to taste.

Instructions

1. Cut the tofu horizontally into thin slices and shape them into a fan pattern (two layers on the bottom), set aside; finely mince the lean pork, shrimp, egg whites, and water chestnuts, mix with salt and MSG to taste, then spread the mixture evenly over the bottom layer of tofu, cover with the top layer of tofu to form a sandwich.

2. Use eggplant to create the fan handle frame, cut the tomato into half-moon shapes and place them at the top of the fan, use shredded white radish as the fan pendant, once assembled, steam in a steamer for 5 minutes until cooked, remove from the steamer, decorate the fan surface with the remaining ingredients to form a pattern, drizzle with sesame oil, and serve. This dish has a unique and visually pleasing presentation.
