Oyster Sauce Chicken Wings

Ingredients

Chicken wing middle sections 500 g (about 1 lb), bok choy 250 g (about 8 oz), water 200 g (about 3/4 cup).

Seasonings

300 g (about 10.5 oz) oil, 40 g (about 3 tablespoons) oyster sauce, 25 g (about 6 slices) ginger, 20 g (about 1.5 tablespoons) sugar, 20 g (about 1.5 tablespoons) soy sauce, 20 g (about 3-4 stalks) scallion segments, 5 g (about 1 teaspoon) salt, 1 g (about 1/4 teaspoon) MSG.

Instructions

1. Marinate the chicken wings in soy sauce for 5 minutes, then deep-fry until golden brown and remove.

2. Leave some oil in the wok and sauté scallions and ginger until fragrant, then add chicken wings, oyster sauce, sugar, water, and MSG, and braise until the sauce thickens; in a half pot of boiling water with salt, blanch the bok choy, then drain and rinse under cold water before arranging on a plate, then place the cooked chicken wings on top. This dish features a thick, rich sauce and tender, soft meat.
