Ingredients
300 g (about 10.5 oz) raw peanuts, 60 g (about 1/4 cup) chilled lard.
Seasonings
40 g (about 3 tablespoons) white sugar, and Sichuan peppercorn salt and five-spice powder to taste.
Instructions
1. Soak the peanuts in boiling water for a moment, then remove and peel off the skins. Deep-fry them in hot lard until crispy, then remove and let cool. Be careful not to fry them too long, or the peanuts will become overcooked and bitter.
2. Mix together the five-spice powder, sugar, and seasoned salt, then combine the chilled lard with the peanuts, and finally mix everything together until well combined.
