Sesame Tofu

Ingredients

300 g tender soybean tofu, 100 g yellow beef, 100 g each of vegetable oil and garlic sprouts, 200 g fresh broth.

Seasonings

15 g sesame seeds, 15 g Sichuan peppercorn powder, 20 g soy sauce, 20 g wet cornstarch slurry, 10 g salt.

Instructions

1. Finely mince the beef; cut the garlic sprouts into 1 cm (about 1/2 inch) pieces; dice the tofu into 1 cm (about 1/2 inch) cubes and blanch briefly in warm water.

2. Heat oil in a wok over high heat, add ground beef and stir-fry until it breaks apart and turns golden brown, then add salt and soy sauce and stir together, pour in fresh broth, add the tofu pieces, and finally add the garlic sprouts, thicken with a cornstarch slurry, drizzle with a little cooked oil, transfer to a serving plate, and sprinkle with sesame seeds to finish.
