Stuffed Red Peppers with Meat

Ingredients

Pork 300 g (about 10 oz), golden hook dried shrimp and rehydrated shiitake mushrooms 15 g each, egg 1.

500 g (about 1 lb) pickled fresh red peppers, 50 g garlic cloves.

Instructions

1. Finely mince the pork, then wash and mince the shrimp and shiitake mushrooms. Combine with the minced pork, egg, MSG, salt, and cornstarch to form the filling.

2. Cut a slit around the stem of the pickled red peppers, remove the seeds, stuff with the meat filling, seal the opening with a wet starch paste, and deep-fry until about 80% cooked, then remove.

3. Place them bottom-side down in a bowl, scatter garlic cloves on top, steam until fully cooked, drain the reserved juices, invert onto a plate, then thicken the reserved juices with seasonings to make a sauce and pour over the stuffed red peppers.
