The outer skin is reddish-brown or brown, mostly smooth and lustrous, densely covered with fine reddish-yellow or brownish-yellow downy hairs, denser at the top and sparser at the bottom; between the forks, there is one gray-black sinew line, with the skin and down tightly adhered. The saw-cut surface is yellowish-white, without bony tissue at the periphery, with dense fine pores in the center. Those with two branches are commonly called "Sancha" (Three-Branched), with the main stem measuring 23-33 cm long, thinner in diameter than the Ergang, slightly arched and somewhat flat, with slightly pointed branch tips, and the lower part often having longitudinal ridges and raised nodules; the skin is reddish-yellow, with sparser and coarser downy hairs. The texture is light. Odor: slightly fishy; Taste: slightly salty.

2. Cervus elaphus velvet: Larger and thicker than Cervus nippon velvet, with more branches; those with one lateral branch are commonly called "Danmen" (single gate), those with two are called "Lianhua" (lotus flower), those with three are called "Sancha" (three forks), and those with four or more are called "Sicha" (four forks).
