Processing
Take gypsum and calcine it until it becomes loose and porous according to the bright calcination method (bright calcination method: take the material to be processed, break it into small pieces, place it in a suitable container, calcine until it becomes crisp or thoroughly red-hot, then remove, allow to cool, and grind into powder. For salt-containing medicinal materials with crystal water, it is not required to be red-hot, but the crystal water must be completely evaporated or the material should form a honeycomb-like solid block).
Medicinal Properties
This product is a white powder or loose lump, with a faint reddish luster on the surface and opaque. It is light in weight, soft in texture, easily broken, and turns to powder when pinched. Odor: faint; Taste: bland.

Sweet, pungent, and astringent, cold. Enters the Spleen and Stomach channels.
Functions and Indications
Astringes dampness, promotes tissue regeneration, closes sores, and stops bleeding. External use for non-healing ulcers, eczema with itching, scalds and burns, and traumatic bleeding.
Dosage and Administration
External use: apply an appropriate amount, grind into powder and sprinkle on the affected area.
