Processing

Take Qianjinzi (Euphorbiae Semen), remove the seed coat to obtain the clean kernels, then process according to the Frost Preparation Method to obtain the frost. (Frost Preparation: Unless otherwise specified, take the material to be processed, grind it into a paste, gently heat, and press to remove most of the oil. Once the oil content meets the required standard, take the residue and grind it into a loose powder that conforms to the specifications.)

Medicinal Properties

This product is a uniform, loose, light yellow powder, slightly oily in appearance. Taste: pungent and spicy.

Acrid, warm; toxic. Enters the Liver, Kidney, and Large Intestine channels.

Functions and Indications

Purgative to expel water, breaks Blood and dissipates masses; externally used to treat tinea and excise warts. Used for obstruction of urination and defecation, edema, phlegm-fluid retention, distension and pain from accumulation, Blood stasis amenorrhea; externally treat stubborn tinea and verruca vulgaris.

Dosage and Administration

0.5-1 g, mostly taken in pill or powder form. For external use, apply an appropriate amount.

Precautions and Contraindications

Contraindicated during pregnancy.
