
Ingredients
500 g (about 1 lb) cooked rice, 150 g (about 5 oz) cooked beef, 75 g (about 2.5 oz) steamed potato, 50 g (about 1.75 oz) diced onion.
Seasonings
Salt, MSG, cooking wine, water starch, and chicken broth to taste, 1 tablespoon curry powder, 5 tablespoons lard.
Steps
1. Place the cooked rice into a bowl; cut the cooked beef into bite-sized chunks about the size of a jujube date; peel the steamed potatoes and cut them into irregular chunks.
2. Place a pot over heat, add lard and heat until hot. First, stir-fry the diced onion and curry powder until fragrant, then add chicken broth, beef chunks, potato chunks, cooking wine, and salt. Simmer over low heat until tender and the sauce thickens. Sprinkle in MSG, thicken with a cornstarch slurry, then pour over the rice and serve.
