Honey-Glazed Eight Treasure Rice Pudding

200 g glutinous rice, and an appropriate amount of red dates, raisins, hawthorn strips, and assorted candied fruits.

Honey and white sugar, 2 tablespoons each, plus 1 tablespoon of rendered lard.

Steps

1. Rinse the glutinous rice until clean, soak it in fresh water, then steam it in a steamer for 45 minutes; remove and set aside. Wash the jujubes and raisins.

2. Take a small stainless steel bowl, grease the inside with a layer of rendered lard, arrange the candied fruits on the bottom, then mix the glutinous rice, jujubes, raisins, hawthorn strips, sugar, and honey together, place the mixture into the bowl, and press it down firmly.

3. Place the small bowl in a steamer and steam over high heat for 30 minutes. Remove and invert onto a plate to serve.
