Ingredients
200 g cooked rice, 50 g char siu (Chinese BBQ pork), 1 egg.
Seasonings
Soy sauce 2 tablespoons, cooking wine and sugar 1 teaspoon each, a small amount of scallions, vegetable oil 1 tablespoon, a pinch each of MSG and white pepper.
Steps
1. Cut the char siu (Chinese BBQ pork) into small diamond-shaped slices; finely chop the scallions; crack the eggs into a bowl and beat them into an egg wash.
2. Place the pan over heat, add vegetable oil and heat until it reaches 350°F (about 60% hot), then add chopped scallions and rice wine to season the pan, stir in the char siu pork until well combined, then add soy sauce, sugar, MSG, white pepper, and the cooked rice, stirring everything together until the flavors are well incorporated.
3. When the rice changes color, drizzle in the beaten egg, stir-fry until evenly coated and set, then transfer to a plate and serve.
