Milk and Oatmeal Rice Pudding

Ingredients

100 g rice, 75 g rolled oats, 250 g fresh milk.

Seasonings

White sugar, to taste.

Steps

1. Rinse the rice in clean water until clear, then soak it in fresh water for 30 minutes. Drain and set aside.

2. Place the soaked rice in a stainless steel pot, add the oatmeal and enough water to cover, then bring to a boil over high heat.

3. Skim off any foam from the surface, cover, and reduce the heat to low, simmering for 30 minutes until the rice is nearly cooked through.

4. Add fresh milk, continue cooking over low heat for 15 minutes, remove from heat and stir in sugar until dissolved, then let it sit covered with residual heat for another 10 minutes before serving.
