Ingredients
600 g rehydrated seaweed (about 1.3 lbs), 30 g toasted sesame seeds.
Seasonings
Salt, soy sauce, vinegar, MSG, sugar, shredded scallions, minced ginger, minced garlic, chili oil, sesame oil, sesame paste, and ground Sichuan pepper, each to taste.
Instructions
1. Wash the seaweed, steam it in a steamer for 30 minutes until tender and crisp, remove and let cool, then cut into thin shreds and place on a plate, sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds.
2. Combine salt, MSG, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, sesame oil, sesame paste, chili oil, Sichuan pepper powder, scallion, ginger, and garlic in a bowl to make a sauce, then pour it over the shredded kelp and toss well to combine (the types and amounts of seasonings can be adjusted to personal taste).
