Sichuan-Style Long Beans with Sesame Sauce

Ingredients

300 g (about 10 oz) long cowpeas, 50 g (about 1/4 cup) sesame paste.

Seasonings

Salt and MSG to taste.

Instructions

1. Trim and wash the long beans, cut them into small sections, blanch in boiling water until fully cooked, remove and rinse under cold water, then place on a plate.

2. Dilute the sesame paste with cold boiled water until it reaches a porridge-like consistency, then mix with salt and MSG, pour over the beans, toss well, and serve.
