Milk-Sweetened Soft Bread

Ingredients

300 g (about 2 1/3 cups) bread flour, 125 ml (about 1/2 cup) milk, 75 g (about 1/3 cup) each of eggs and butter, 15 g (about 2 tablespoons) milk powder, 5 g (about 1 1/2 teaspoons) yeast.

Seasonings

Sugar 30 g (about 2 tablespoons), butter 25 g (about 2 tablespoons), salt 3 g (about 1/2 teaspoon).

Steps

1. Sift the bread flour, then add white sugar, salt, milk powder, eggs, milk, and yeast, mixing until well combined. Add butter and knead into a smooth dough.

2. Place the dough on a work surface, slap and knead it until smooth and elastic, then let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size. Remove and divide into portions.

3. Roll the dough into a round ball, place it on the second rack of the preheated oven to continue proofing (keep the temperature below 40°C/104°F, and place a small bowl of water inside the oven).

4. When the dough has risen again to twice its size, bake at 180°C (350°F) with both top and bottom heat for 30 minutes, then remove from the oven and brush with butter while still hot.
