Red Date Cake

Ingredients

300 g (about 10.5 oz) date paste, 7 eggs, 450 g (about 1 lb) cake flour.

Seasonings

250 g white sugar, 400 g butter (about 1 3/4 cups), 10 g baking powder (about 2 teaspoons), 50 g cocoa powder (about 1/2 cup).

Steps

1. In a stainless steel pot, add butter and white sugar, stir until well combined, then slowly add the eggs while stirring continuously.

2. Sift the cake flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder together, then fold them into the butter and egg mixture until well combined. Add the date paste and mix thoroughly. Pour the batter into the mold, filling each cavity about 70% full.

3. Place in a preheated oven and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 25 minutes. Remove from the oven, let cool, then decorate as desired.
