Ingredients
2 cups red dates (jujubes), 1 tablespoon rice wine or Shaoxing wine.
Seasonings
1/4 cup white sugar, 1 tablespoon honey, 1/2 to 1 tablespoon sesame seeds.
Instructions
1. Wash the jujubes, sprinkle with a little wine, and steam them in a steamer until soft.
2. Soak the sesame seeds in water temporarily, rub off the skins by hand, then dry-fry them until done.
3. Add water equal to the amount of sugar, along with honey, to make a syrup.
4. Place the steamed red dates into the sugar syrup and toss to coat, then sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and mix again.
