Grilled Shiitake Mushroom and Green Bell Pepper Skewers

Ingredients

250 g fresh shiitake mushrooms (about 9 oz), 2 green bell peppers.

Seasonings

a small amount of cooking wine and salt, half a tablespoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of white pepper, and a small amount of white sesame seeds.

Instructions

1. Wash the shiitake mushrooms, use a sharp knife to score a crosshatch pattern on the surface without cutting too deep, then thread three mushrooms onto each bamboo skewer and set aside.

2. For the green peppers, you can also use bell peppers for more color, which makes the skewers look prettier; cut the green peppers in half lengthwise, remove the seeds, trim off the stem ends, then cut into 3x5 cm rectangles, thread three pieces onto each skewer, and set all the skewers aside.

3. Stir the seasonings until well combined, then brush the mixture evenly over the mushroom and green pepper skewers. Grill until cooked through and serve.
