Ingredients
2 chicken legs, 1 cup glutinous rice, 8 red dates, 8 chestnuts, 50 g (about 1.8 oz) ginseng roots, and water as needed.
Seasonings
8 cloves of garlic, 8 ginkgo nuts, and a pinch of salt.
Instructions
1. Rinse the chicken legs and set aside; wash the glutinous rice and soak in water for 2 hours.
2. Place all ingredients in a stew pot and add enough water to cover them.
3. Seal the pot tightly with plastic wrap, then cook in a water bath (bain-marie) for about 2 hours. Finally, season with a pinch of salt to taste.
