Apple and Water Chestnut Sweet Soup

Ingredients

200 g apple, 50 g water chestnuts.

Seasonings

Salt and rock sugar, to taste.

Steps

1. Peel the apple, remove the core, rinse it under clean water, drain well, and cut into small pieces.

Peel the water chestnuts, soak them in lightly salted water, then rinse and drain, and cut into small cubes.

3. Place a clean pot over heat, add enough water, then add the apple chunks and water chestnut cubes. Bring to a boil over high heat, skim off any foam, then reduce to low heat and simmer for about 30 minutes. Add rock sugar and cook until fully dissolved, then remove from heat and serve in bowls.
