Red Kidney Beans Braised with Candied Dates

Ingredients

100 g red kidney beans, 8 candied dates, 1000 g (about 4 cups) water.

Seasonings

Rock sugar to taste.

Steps

1. Wash the red kidney beans and candied dates separately, then drain thoroughly.

2. Place the kidney beans and candied dates in a pot, add enough water to cover, bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to low heat and simmer for 10 minutes.

3. Finally, add rock sugar, then turn off the heat and let it cool before serving.
