Ingredients
1 small watermelon, 200 g (about 7 oz) pineapple.
Seasonings
Salt and rock sugar, to taste.
Steps
1. Wash the watermelon, cut a zigzag pattern around the top third, remove the lid, scoop out the flesh to create a watermelon bowl, and cut the flesh into small pieces.
2. Peel the pineapple, soak it in lightly salted water, then rinse and drain before cutting into small cubes.
3. Place a clean pot over high heat, add enough water and bring to a boil with the diced pineapple and watermelon chunks. Skim off any foam, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes. Add rock sugar and cook until fully dissolved, then remove from heat. Once cooled, pour the mixture into the hollowed watermelon shell, cover with the watermelon lid, and serve.
