Fragrant Lemon Pineapple Sweet Soup

Ingredients

300 g (about 10.5 oz) pineapple, 1 lemon, 5 g (about 1 teaspoon) black tea.

Seasonings

A pinch of salt and 150 g (about 3/4 cup) of rock sugar.

Steps

1. Peel the pineapple, wash it, cut into small chunks, then soak in lightly salted water for 10 minutes, drain and rinse; wash the lemon and slice thinly.

2. Place the black tea leaves in a container, pour in boiling water to steep once, then discard the tea liquid. Add fresh boiling water to steep again, then strain out the tea leaves, reserving the clear black tea liquid.

3. Place a clean pot over high heat, add enough water and the pineapple chunks, bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.

4. Then add the lemon slices and continue cooking for another 10 minutes.

5. Add the rock sugar and cook until fully dissolved, then pour in the black tea and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and serve in bowls.
