Kiwi and Sago Dessert Soup

Ingredients

150 g kiwifruit (about 5 oz), 100 g sago pearls (about 3.5 oz).

Seasonings

Salt and rock sugar, to taste.

Steps

1. Peel the kiwifruit, slice it thinly, then rinse in lightly salted water and drain well.

2. Rinse the sago thoroughly, place it in a bowl, and soak in warm water for 30 minutes.

3. Place a clean pot over high heat, add enough water along with the sago and the water used for soaking, and boil vigorously for 10 minutes. Then add rock sugar, reduce the heat to low, and simmer for about 5 minutes until the sago is cooked and fragrant. Remove from heat, pour into a large bowl, and let cool. Finally, add the kiwi slices, stir well, and serve.
