Ingredients
500 g fresh lily bulbs, 300 g (about 10.5 oz) dried lotus seeds.
Steps
1. Soak dried lotus seeds in clean water for 1 hour, then rinse and remove the bitter cores; rinse the lily bulbs.
2. Place the lotus seeds and lily bulbs in a pot with enough water to cover, bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to low heat and simmer for 40 minutes.
3. Add rock sugar and cook until completely dissolved.
