Papaya and Lily Bulb Sweet Soup

Ingredients

200 g (about 7 oz) papaya, 50 g (about 1.75 oz) fresh lily bulbs.

Seasonings

Salt and rock sugar, to taste.

Steps

1. Peel the papaya, remove the seeds, rinse it under clean water, and cut into large chunks.

2. Remove the dark root ends from the fresh lily bulbs, break them into small petals, then soak in lightly salted water before rinsing clean.

3. Place a clean pot over high heat, add enough water, then add the papaya chunks and lily bulb petals. Bring to a boil, skim off any foam, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 20 minutes. Add rock sugar and cook until fully dissolved, then remove from heat and serve in bowls.
