Pork Ribs with Crown Daisy Stems

Ingredients

600 g pork ribs (about 1.3 lbs), 100 g crown daisy stems.

Seasonings

5 g scallions (chopped), 10 g ginger (sliced), 2 teaspoons each salt and Shaoxing wine, 1/2 teaspoon sugar, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 80 g (about 1/3 cup) vegetable oil.

Steps

1. Rinse the pork ribs and chop them into sections; wash the crown daisy leaves and cut them into segments.

2. Heat oil in a wok or skillet over high heat, add chopped scallions and sliced ginger to release their aroma, then add the pork ribs and dry-fry until lightly browned, followed by cooking wine and soy sauce, stir-frying until the ribs are evenly colored.

3. Add a small amount of water, salt, and sugar. Bring to a boil over high heat, skim off any foam, then cover and reduce to low heat, simmering until the ribs are tender and cooked through. Add the crown daisy segments and stir-fry until just cooked. Transfer to a serving plate and serve.
