Jam Sandwich

Learn how to make perfect jam sandwiches with easy oven or sandwich maker methods. Simple ingredients like bread and jam create delicious toasted triangles.

Ingredients

250 g (about 9 oz) salted square bread (or sandwich bread/toast bread).

Ingredients

100 g (about 3.5 oz) mixed fruit jam.

Instructions

1. Cut the white sandwich bread into slices about 1 cm thick (20 slices total), arrange them on a baking sheet, and bake in the oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 3 minutes. Remove from the oven, spread a thin layer of jam evenly on the untoasted side of the bread slices, top with another toasted slice (toasted side out), gently press together, trim off the crusts, and cut diagonally into two triangles before packing.

2. Alternatively, for a sandwich maker, spread jam on one slice of bread, top with another slice, place in the sandwich maker slot, close the lid, and cook for the specified time until done—removing to get two sandwiches. Using both left and right slots yields four sandwiches at once.
