Onion Pancake

Ingredients

300 g onion, eggs and cilantro to taste.

Seasonings

Custard powder, breadcrumbs, cornstarch, oil, salt, and MSG (or chicken bouillon), each to taste.

Instructions

1. Trim both ends off the onion and slice into rounds; in a bowl, whisk together beaten eggs with custard powder, cornstarch, salt, and MSG to form a batter, then coat each onion ring in the batter and press breadcrumbs onto them.

2. Heat oil in a wok or deep pan, add the onion pancakes and deep-fry until golden brown, then arrange them on a plate and garnish with cilantro on both sides.
