Ingredients
15 red dates (jujubes), 15 dried shiitake mushrooms.
Seasonings
Ginger, cooked peanut oil, rice wine, salt, and MSG, all to taste.
Instructions
1. Wash the red dates (jujubes) and remove the pits; wash the dried shiitake mushrooms thoroughly to remove any grit.
2. Place water, shiitake mushrooms, red dates, salt, MSG, cooking wine, ginger slices, and a little cooked peanut oil into a steaming bowl, cover tightly, and steam for 60 to 90 minutes. Remove from the steamer and serve.
