200 g millet, 100 g rice (about 1/2 cup).
Seasonings
50 g each of mung beans, peanuts, red dates, walnuts, and raisins, with brown sugar to taste.
Instructions
1. Rinse the millet, rice, mung beans, peanuts, red dates, walnuts, and raisins thoroughly in water.
2. First, add the mung beans to a pot with a small amount of water and cook over heat until they are about 70% done. Then, add boiling water to the pot, along with millet, rice, peanuts, red dates, walnuts, and raisins. Add brown sugar, stir well with a spoon, cover the pot, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce to low heat and cook until everything is tender and fully cooked. This congee is sweet, smooth, and nutritious, rich in carbohydrates, protein, B vitamins, calcium, iron, and other nutrients.
