Yam and Rice Congee

Ingredients

100 g Chinese yam, 200 g (about 2 cups) rice.

Instructions

Wash and slice the Chinese yam, rinse the rice clean, then add both to a pot with water and cook as you would a regular congee until the rice is soft and the porridge thickens, then serve. This congee strengthens the spleen and stimulates the appetite, and can help support digestive health by firming the bowels and relieving diarrhea.
