Ingredients
200 g (about 7 oz) tofu, 15 g (about 1/2 oz) dried seaweed (nori).
Seasonings
Vegetable oil 20 g (about 1½ tablespoons), salt 3 g (about ½ teaspoon), MSG 2 g (about ¼ teaspoon), Shaoxing wine 5 g (about 1 teaspoon).
Instructions
1. Cut the tofu into 4.5 cm (about 1.75 inches) long, 1.5 cm (about 0.5 inch) wide, and 0.7 cm (about 0.25 inch) thick slices, blanch them in boiling water, then drain.
2. Heat oil in a wok or skillet, add water, then the tofu. Once boiling, season with salt, MSG, and cooking wine. Pour into a large soup bowl, sprinkle with seaweed, and serve.
