Angelica Root Nourishing Stew

Ingredients

250 g young chicken (about 1/2 lb), 6 red dates, 10 g goji berries.

Seasonings

10 g astragalus root, 5 g each of angelica root, cinnamon twig, and Szechuan lovage, salt to taste.

Steps

1. Rinse angelica root, astragalus root, goji berries, cinnamon twig, Szechuan lovage root, and red dates separately under clean water, then drain well.

2. Rinse the young chicken clean, chop into pieces, and cook in a pot of water for 30 minutes, then strain out the broth.

3. Place angelica root, astragalus, goji berries, cassia twig, Szechuan lovage, and red dates in a clay pot, add the chicken cooking broth, bring to a boil and continue cooking for 10 minutes, then add the chicken pieces and cook until tender, season with salt and serve.
