Seasonings
300 g cleaned baby cuttlefish, 200 g pork belly pieces, and appropriate amounts of shrimp roe, shredded carrot, and chopped cilantro.
Seasonings
2 green onions (cut into shreds), a few slices of ginger, 2 star anise, 2 bay leaves, 1 teaspoon salt, 3 tablespoons sugar, 1/2 tablespoon white soy sauce, 1 tablespoon cooking wine, 2 tablespoons vegetable oil.
Steps
1. Blanch the baby cuttlefish and pork pieces separately in boiling water briefly, then drain and set aside.
2. Heat oil in a wok over high heat, add sugar and stir until it melts and turns amber for color, then add the pork and stir-fry until evenly coated, followed by cooking wine, soy sauce, salt, star anise, and ginger slices, stirring well. Pour in enough water, add bay leaves and shrimp roe, and simmer until the flavors meld. Remove the bay leaves and star anise, add the baby cuttlefish and bring to a boil, then finish by scattering shredded scallions, shredded carrots, and chopped cilantro on top.
