
Ingredients
200 g (about 7 oz) tofu, 30 g (about 1 oz) each of lettuce and shredded pork.
Seasonings
Salt, MSG, cooking wine, water starch, clear broth, sesame oil, and vegetable oil, each to taste.
Steps
1. Remove the tough outer skin from the tofu, cut it into small cubes, blanch in boiling water to remove the bean smell, then transfer to cold water to soak; wash the lettuce, blanch in boiling water, drain and chop finely; briefly blanch the shredded pork in boiling water, then drain well.
2. Heat oil in a wok or pot over high heat, add the shredded pork and stir-fry until it changes color, then splash in the cooking wine, pour in the clear broth, add the tofu and lettuce, and bring to a boil. Season with salt and MSG, thicken with a cornstarch slurry, and finish by drizzling with sesame oil.
