
Ingredients
1 whole chicken (about 3-4 lbs), 1 navel orange, 2 dried figs, 5 g (about 1 tsp) angelica root, 3 g (about 1/2 tsp) safflower.
Seasonings
Salt to taste.
Steps
1. Slaughter the hen, remove the drumsticks and head, discard the innards and impurities, wash and clean thoroughly, then chop into pieces.
2. Bring water to a boil in a pot, add the chicken pieces and blanch, then remove and drain.
3. Peel the orange and cut into small segments; cut the figs open; rinse the angelica root and safflower separately under clean water.
4. Bring water to a boil in a pot, add all ingredients and cook over high heat until boiling, then reduce to low heat and simmer for about 2 hours, season with salt to taste and serve.
