Crispy Pork Rib Soup

Ingredients

600 g (about 1.3 lbs) pork ribs, 500 g (about 1 lb) daikon radish, 20 g (about 1/2 cup) cilantro.

Seasonings

1 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon each soy sauce and rice wine, 3 tablespoons cornstarch, 400 g (about 14 oz) broth.

Steps

1. Rinse the pork ribs, chop into small pieces, place in a bowl, add a pinch of salt, soy sauce, rice wine, and cornstarch, mix well, and marinate for 10 minutes.

2. Heat oil in a wok until hot, add the ribs and deep-fry until golden and crispy, then remove and drain the oil.

3. Peel and wash the daikon radish, cut into small chunks, place in a stewing bowl, add enough broth to cover, and steam for 10 minutes.

4. Steam the ribs for another 20 minutes, then season with soy sauce and salt to taste. Remove from the steamer, transfer to a serving bowl, and sprinkle with chopped cilantro before serving.
