5 eggs, 30 g (about 1 oz) longan meat, and to taste red dates and Chinese angelica root.

Steps
1. Rinse the dried longan meat, red dates, and Chinese angelica root separately.
2. Remove the pits from the red dates.
3. Place the eggs in a pot of water, bring to a boil over heat, cook until hard-boiled, then remove and peel off the shells.
4. Take an earthenware pot, add the dried longan, red dates, and angelica root, pour in an appropriate amount of water, and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes.
5. Add the eggs and brown sugar, then cook for 15 minutes until done.
