Ingredients
Pork belly 300 g (about 10 oz), water chestnuts 200 g (about 7 oz), broccoli florets 3.
Seasonings
5 g bay leaves, salt to taste, a pinch of chili powder, 1 tablespoon ketchup, 1000 g (about 4 cups) broth, 2 tablespoons vegetable oil.
Steps
1. Rinse the pork belly and cut it into chunks; peel the water chestnuts, rinse them, and cut each in half; wash the broccoli in salted water and break it into small florets.
2. Heat vegetable oil in a pot until hot, add the pork belly and soy sauce, stir-fry until browned, then pour in the broth and bring to a boil. Add the remaining ingredients and seasonings, cook until the flavors meld, then remove the bay leaf and serve.
