
Ingredients
200 g (about 7 oz) winter melon, 10 chicken feet, 6 red dates.
Seasonings
1 tablespoon salt, 2 teaspoons MSG.
Steps
1. Remove the tips of the chicken feet, peel off the tough skin, and rinse clean. Blanch them in boiling water, then remove and rinse under cold water.
2. Rinse the red dates, remove the pits; peel the winter melon, remove the seeds and pith, rinse, and cut into large chunks.
3. Place a clean pot over heat, add enough water to cover, first add the chicken feet and bring to a boil over high heat, then add the winter melon chunks and red dates.
4. Reduce heat to low and simmer until the chicken feet are tender and fully cooked, then season with salt and MSG to taste, and serve in a bowl.
