
Ingredients
300 g chicken hearts, 50 g red bell pepper slices, 10 g minced garlic chives.
Seasonings
1 star anise seasoning packet (15 g rock sugar, 3 star anise, 1 piece cinnamon bark, 1 teaspoon caramel), salt, MSG, and ground white pepper to taste, 3 tablespoons thick soy paste, 2 tablespoons soy sauce.
Steps
1. Clean the chicken hearts, score them with a crosshatch pattern, place them in a pot of boiling water, blanch to remove any blood, then drain well.
2. Add water, spice packet, soy paste, and soy sauce to a pot and bring to a boil until fragrant, then add the chicken hearts, reduce the heat to low, and braise until fully cooked; remove and arrange on a serving plate.
3. In a bowl, combine minced garlic sprouts, red pepper slices, white pepper powder, MSG, fine salt, and a little braising liquid to make a sauce, then pour it over the chicken hearts and serve.
