Stir-Fried Tofu Puffs with Chive Stems

Ingredients

100 g oil tofu (fried tofu puffs), 250 g (about 8 oz) garlic chive stems, 20 g red bell pepper.

Seasonings

Salt, MSG, sugar, soy sauce, rice vinegar, shrimp paste, and sesame oil, each to taste.

Steps

1. Wash the red bell pepper, remove the stem and seeds, and cut into thin strips; cut the fried tofu puffs into thin strips; mix together shrimp sauce, sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, MSG, and sugar to make the dressing.

2. Trim and wash the chive stems thoroughly, blanch them in boiling water with salt until just tender, then drain and cut into small segments.

3. Place the chive stem segments, shredded tofu puffs, and red bell pepper strips together in a bowl, pour the prepared dressing over them, toss well to combine, and serve.
