Warm Mixed Abalone

Ingredients

250 g abalone (about 8.8 oz), 50 g cucumber (about 1.8 oz), 30 g cooked bamboo shoots (about 1 oz).

Seasonings

Salt, MSG, white pepper, aged vinegar, cooking wine, and sesame oil, each to taste.

Steps

1. Slice each abalone into 3 pieces using a knife, place in a bowl, steam in a steamer until cooked, then remove; slice the cooked bamboo shoots into pieces the same size as the abalone; wash the cucumber, remove the seeds, slice, lightly salt and toss, then drain off excess water.

2. Mix together aged vinegar, salt, cooking wine, canned abalone liquid, MSG, sesame oil, and ground white pepper to create the seasoning sauce.

3. Toss the sliced cucumber and bamboo shoots together and arrange on a plate, top with the abalone slices, then drizzle with the prepared dressing and serve.
