Mango Salad

Ingredients

500 ml (about 2 cups) water, 3 ripe mangoes.

Seasonings

250 g (about 1 1/4 cups) sugar, 10 g (about 2 teaspoons) four-spice blend (cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, black pepper).

Instructions

1. Peel the mango, slice it, and set aside; combine sugar, four-spice blend, and water, bring to a boil, cover, and let steep.

2. Place the mango slices on a flat pan, spread them out, and submerge completely in sugar water. Bring to a boil, then let cool, allowing the mango slices to soak for a while.

3. Place the mango slices in a serving bowl, strain the seasoned dressing through a sieve, and pour it over the mango slices to finish. This dish has an appealing color and a pleasantly sweet aftertaste.
