Ingredients
500 g (about 1 lb) tender celery, 100 g (about 1/2 cup) tomato sauce.
Seasonings
10 g salt, 5 g white sugar, 5 g white vinegar, 25 g cooking oil.
Instructions
1. Remove leaves and roots from fresh tender celery, wash clean, use a knife to split the stalks lengthwise, blanch in boiling water until it returns to a boil, then remove and drain, cut into 3 cm (about 1.2 inch) segments, add MSG and salt to taste, and place in a dish.
2. Heat oil in a wok or pan until hot, add tomato sauce, vinegar, white sugar, and some water, bring to a boil, then pour over the celery and serve. This dish has a bright orange-red color and a tender, delicious flavor.
