Ingredients
250 g (about 1/2 lb) cabbage
Seasonings
25 g soy sauce, 5 g each of sesame oil and white sugar, and 2 g salt.
Instructions
1. Remove the outer leaves of the cabbage, wash it, then cut straight into 3 cm (about 1.2 inch) long and 1.5 cm (about 0.6 inch) wide pieces, blanch in boiling water for 2-3 minutes, do not overcook, drain well and place in a bowl.
2. Mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, white sugar, and salt until well combined. Alternatively, you can add dried shrimp, pressed tofu, and shredded green and red chili peppers, then season with vinegar to create a sweet-and-sour cabbage. This dish is sweet, savory, and crunchy—perfect as an appetizer with drinks.
